The 1984 Seca continued the shaft-drive, air-cooled four-cylinder XJ900 sports tourer. The listed figures are unchanged from the 1983 original, although other sources say Yamaha began revising the engine and forks around this time and added a belly pan. It remained a comfortable all-rounder rather than an out-and-out sports bike.
